42 KP Samaj Canada’s annual summer picnic brings together many families and friends to enjoy their day out in the park. This picnic was the largest picnic in this Samaj history, as it brought together over 1,000 people.

Diwali, is a five-day festival celebrated by millions of people across the world every Autumn. Diwali celebrates the legend of Lord Rama and his wife Sita returning to their kingdom in northern India from exile after defeating the demon king Ravanna in 15th century BC. Diwali also pays tribute to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and lanterns are lit to guide her into people’s homes.

Navratri that is the most observed in the honor of the divine feminine Devi (Durga) in months of September and October. In the eastern and northeastern states of India, the Durga Puja is synonymous with Navratri, wherein goddess Durga battles and emerges victorious over the buffalo demon to help restore Dharma.
